The room is on San Francisco next to the hot-dog shop. It has a small porch on the front(Grill, yea), beautiful hard wood floors, great entrance way, and did I mention the location 5 doors down from Verticle Relief. The Space is also known as the Northern Arizona Yoga Center. (Visit their web site for a view of times and classes northernarizonayogacenter.com ) I am unsure of capacities and the cost of using the room at the moment but will post them soon.

Champ's Oatmeal Chompers are now in Macy's Coffee House

http://www.macyscoffee.net/index.html

Go on down to Macy's Coffee House and get a cup of joe and a bag of Champ's Oatmeal Chompers. They are in our new smaller bag and have approximately the half as many as our larg bags an are price @ 4.75 US Dollars. The only ingredients are: Whole wheat flour, oatmeal, unbleached flour, flax meal, corn meal, eggs, powdered milk, olive oil, chicken stock, and a dash of parsley. I make the chicken stock myself, so you don't have to worry about any wierdness in these treats. I haven't seen a dog snub them yet. Champ goes bonkers for them and the chicken stock, he likes it poured over his food. He might be a bit on the spoiled side!
I am making more so call now or email. I can be contacted through petreat.com or richsrusticcooking.com.

Oscar Pryor Wiener

Sorry for the poor pictures in the last post, I am new to the whole blogging Thing and how all of this works. We had a "tasting" last night at the "Life is Good" store that seemed to go well. Everything was gobbled up and some came back again and again. The new Grand Canyon board game also premiered with great success and it seemed to sell like hotcakes. This was all followed up with a visit to the Wine Loft for pizza and Gena and Franks wise choices on Belgium Trippels.

On a different note, I just received word that Oscar Pryor Wiener, the award winning wiener dog outta Eureka Springs, Ar has been enjoying some Champs Oatmeal Chompers. You can see more of him at: http://www.papermoonattractions.com/oscar
And here he is helping himself to some seconds! The athlete needs to feed his muscles.

Soon as I can cook up another batch of treats, they will be on the Shelves of Macy's Euro Coffee House.

Honeymoon in Turkey

Roxanna and I went on our "official" honeymoon at the end of May and ran into early June. We had a very exciting trip to Antalya, Turkey where we did a lot of rock climbing, eating, snorkeling, and general sightseeing. One of the highlights were the Alabalik (Trout) Restaurants that seemed be be popular along the Mountain streams of the Taurus Mountains. These lush eateries are situated right in the stream and raise their trout on premise. The trout are simply grilled or roasted in a terra cotta bowl in a great stone oven. Everything (at this time of year) comes with tomatoes, seasonal veggies, and a choice of salads (we always had the walnuts and taziki). There is also the ever present loaf of bread that seemed to be endless.

This is the Butcher where we went for Fanta and Goat Chops.

Rox enjoying some Nescafe in the Honeymoon Suite

Here you can see that I ran out of English reading material and took inspiration from the Greek and Roman Sculpture present in the region.

First Friday Art-walk Taster

During the next 1st Friday Art-Walk (Friday Sept 7) we will be having a taster at the Life is Good Store. We will have free appetizers from my menu and an opportunity to meet some people from around Flagstaff. We will also have postcards with a small portion of the menu and of course some business cards to hand out. The Life is Good Store will also be carrying a selection of our pet treats, so go get them. New Frontiers still has a lot of the treats as well. So mark it on yer calendar: Sept 7 swing by the Life is Good Store and get yummy free tasters and every day or so go by either New Frontiers or Life is Good and get some TREATS for your starving , loving, well behaved dog. Also the fall wedding season is coming up (Christmas Parties are right around the corner as well) so notify your friends to start planning now, call and get a quote.

Here is a picture from a while back of Mediterranean Night at the McDade's House. Turkish Meat Balls, Taziki, Cous Cous, Humus, and a cabbage sesame salad. This is from way back in the Yosemite days.
Hope all is well out there, Rich

Old Pics From Utah Trip

Rox and I caught these fine trout in a stream, I forget the name of, running out of the Wasatch Mtn s north of Moroni, Ut. I caught the Brownie and Rox the Rainbow. After a quick cleaning up they were sitting on the griddle(I think I need a bigger one) and under the watchful eye of our old dog Nate.(Gone but not forgotten) He would have given his left paw to nose into that pile o' fish and veggies. I think our neighbors in the adjacent campground were a little jealous of our lucky dinner. Tuna surprise just doesn't stand up against fresh fish and veggies.

Baking Pet Treats

I have been busy on a side project lately, petreat.com. I started this little project to hopefully get a good dog treat on the market that has nothing bad in it and and is good for them as well. And to gain a little income of course. I sold 48 bags to New Frontiers in Flagstaff and hope to get them on many other shelves and in pantries around town. If you want your dog to sample some give me a call and I will fire up the oven and get to it. Actually hot out the oven and smeared with a little butter, the Champs Oatmeal Chompers are quite good. I haven't tried the Breathelizers yet, as I was having a hard enough time filling the order for New Frontiers.
Rox and I had a great dinner Friday night, but took no pictures. Curried Pork chops, grilled hatch chilli's, roasted garlic, grilled tomatoes, grilled onions, and a nice mixed green salad all done on the grill.(except for the salad of course) More to come.....
