Honeymoon in Turkey

Roxanna and I went on our "official" honeymoon at the end of May and ran into early June. We had a very exciting trip to Antalya, Turkey where we did a lot of rock climbing, eating, snorkeling, and general sightseeing. One of the highlights were the Alabalik (Trout) Restaurants that seemed be be popular along the Mountain streams of the Taurus Mountains. These lush eateries are situated right in the stream and raise their trout on premise. The trout are simply grilled or roasted in a terra cotta bowl in a great stone oven. Everything (at this time of year) comes with tomatoes, seasonal veggies, and a choice of salads (we always had the walnuts and taziki). There is also the ever present loaf of bread that seemed to be endless.

This is the Butcher where we went for Fanta and Goat Chops.

Here you can see that I ran out of English reading material and took inspiration from the Greek and Roman Sculpture present in the region.
